The Genesis of GoLive!
Jul 23, 2025
I remember the moment the idea for GoLive! was born.
It was one of those spark moments—where something clicks that you didn’t even know you were waiting for.
A flash of “this could be something” that slowly (and then quickly) grows into something undeniable.
But like most big ideas, it didn’t start with a yes.
At First, I Said No.
For years, I pushed back against the idea of a big in-studio weekend like this.
I’ve always been protective of our space, our process, and the quality of what we offer.
The pressure of a “big event” felt...off-brand.
I didn’t want GoLive! to become just another weekend dance festival.
That’s never been our vibe, and it never will be.
What Changed Everything.
At some point, I realized the problem wasn’t the idea itself.
It was that I hadn’t seen anyone else do it in the way we would.
GoLive! wasn’t supposed to be just a weekend.
It’s a window into our world.
It’s where students and professionals gather to study, rehearse, perform, and grow—with live musicians, deep feedback, and no fluff.
It’s not about “putting on a show.”
It’s about becoming the kind of dancer who belongs on stage.
Why GoLive! Matters to Me.
Because I know what it feels like to want more—more direction, more performance experience, more meaning in your practice.
And I know what it feels like to not know where to find it.
GoLive! gives dancers a clear, supportive, and elevated environment to train, take risks, and level up.
It’s also a love letter to everything we do inside Project Band—put into fast motion for a single weekend.
If you’re craving depth, artistry, and feedback that doesn’t waste your time...
I think you’ll love it here.
More Soon…
We’re getting ready to open up more info (and just a few more tickets — get yours here).
If you want to see what’s possible when live music, performance, and feedback collide—stay close.
More behind-the-scenes, stories, and details coming soon.
