There comes a point in veil work where you realize the veil is either an extension of your movement… or it looks like you’re losing a fight with a bedsheet.

This choreography is for dancers ready to move past “pretty veil tricks” and into something more integrated, intentional, and musical.

Drawing from years of performing and choreographing with silk veil, Cindy and Paloma will guide dancers through a layered choreography blending foundational veil technique with traditional belly dance vocabulary — all set to an absolutely haunting piece composed by San Antonio’s own Ethan Wickman for Viatorum.

Expect:

• movement that actually connects,
• musical phrasing,
• and the kind of repetition that slowly turns chaos into control.
