Performer Submission Process & Important Dates:

July 1
Performer application is due.
All applications and references will be reviewed. Any incomplete applications will be returned to the sender for corrections. Corrections must be made no later than July 10 or the application will be discarded.

JULY 15
All applicants will receive a reply listing the performers for each show in no particular order.
Due to time constraints, it is expected that we will not have room to place all applicants. 
If your name does not appear on the line-up you will be placed on the waitlist. 
If you are selected, but unable to perform, please let us know immediately so we can notify the next person on the waitlist.
Show assignment is at organizers discretion. 
Selected performers will receive a detailed informational email regarding stage, call times, venue, etc. Song list will be provided in this step of the process . Music preference choices will be granted after registration, based on date received and title availability. 

AUGUST 1
Event registration is due. If you miss this deadline, you run the risk of losing your spot to someone on the waitlist.

SEPTEMBER 1
Performance staging information is due. If you miss this deadline, you run the risk of losing your spot to someone on the waitlist.


By filling out the performer application form you agree to all the policies listed below. 

Application Guidelines:

  • Applying to perform is not a guarantee that you will be able to do so. We will try very hard to fit everyone in but we can’t promise everyone will get a spot. 
  • All performers must be registered for a minimum of 4 workshop hours by the date indicated. 
  • Deadlines are firm. A lot of work goes into curating and producing these shows. In order to make sure things run smoothly we need information and completed requirements by the dates specified.
  • If chosen, all performers will conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.




FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Can anyone apply to perform?
A. Yes. At this time, anyone who intends to register for the full weekend package may apply to perform.  At a later date - if space allows - performance opportunities will be made available for a la carte registrants.
 
Q. Are there any performance opportunities with recorded music?
A. No, Go Live features ONLY live music for performances and workshops. 

Q. How do you decide who is accepted?
A. The decision is ultimately at the organizers discretion in the best interest of the overall offerings. We want everyone to have a chance to perform with live music! We will do our best to accommodate as many performers as possible while providing diverse and enjoyable shows. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, marital status, or political affiliation.

Q. What determines the level of experience?

  • Novice performers are those students who have little to no experience with public performance, but have put in the work in class to develop a strong foundation. Video references are not required for novice applicants. Casual costuming is appropriate. 
  • Advanced-Student performers should have some prior experience dancing in public performances in a stage setting. Experience with live music is suggested. Must be able to provide video references of past performances. Professional costuming is appropriate. 
  • Professional performers should have solid experience dancing with live music, performing in a theater setting, and be able to provide video references of past performances. Professional costuming is appropriate.
