GoLive! Is an incredible event! Having several ensembles of the BEST Arab Musicians in one place over the course of a weekend is a life-changing experience for a dancer who is ready to take it all in.
Here’s a fact:
Dancers who have worked with the concepts in the Project Band program get more out of the GoLive experience.
And while most Project Band packages are a one year commitment from Oct to Oct, the good news is that the REMOTE Project Band package doesn't have to be a full year commitment!!

Think about it! You will have the chance to study with a group of dancers who are all focused on exploring how the experience of working with live music can enhance their dance - and with a firm goal of October 4-6 in mind. That’s what Project Banders are!!

We have two such Virtual Performahearsal events coming up where you will have the chance to dance TO UNIQUE, BEAUTIFUL, IN-THE-MOMENT-CREATED-JUST-FOR-YOU, Arabic music! THIS is where you can test what you are absorbing before you step onto the GoLive! stage.

Project Band REMOTE participants get:
- 1 weekly Drills class and Project Band exercise via zoom in real time (and access to the recordings!). There are currently 3 Project Band Drills Classes on the schedule.
- 1 weekly Beginner class to deeply refine technique. There are currently 6 Beginner classes on the schedule.
- 1 monthly opportunity to join us at our Tuesday Dakota Dance Lab to live music. (That's Tuesdays at 8:00 CST.)
- 1 monthly video feedback communication from Karen Barbee.
- The option of purchasing a face-to-face private lesson with Karen if that is preferred,
- Discounts on workshops with guest instructors, AND
- Participation in our upcoming Virtual Performahearsals! (Those are rehearsals that feel like a performance, btw). And THIS PART IS HUGE!

- Sunday, April 7 at 4:00 pm CST with music by the Georges Lammam Ensemble playing for us from San Francisco, CA.
- Sunday, July 7 at 4:00 pm CST with the music of Maestro Michael Ibrahim (and whoever he chooses to include!) playing for us from Detroit, MI.
